As a self proclaimed bachelor, our client's home was in need of a full make over. Our client had purchased a spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the main strip in Hoboken New Jersey over a decade ago, and was ready to make some upgrades to his home to reflect his current status and to enhance his quality of life.
Our working relationship has spanned over a few years, allowing the client to adjust to the costs and scheduling associated with renovation projects. These aspects are always a shock, as these are often under estimated. An adjustment period is often very helpful as well as our detailed budget and schedule template allowing for some flexibility!
Therefore, during the process of design concept creation and development the client had time to get involved, review all aspects of the project in his own time without pressure which was the major investment for him. We guided our client throughout the process, going at his desired speed and we were able to proceed forward one step at a time.
The design services included creating a full design concept for the home, with furniture plans including a custom media console design, and a full finish & materials scheme throughout. This vision helped to guide us on the detailed design journey for the kitchen and bathroom construction details.
Our initial design concepts were eventually realized in the final design for the finishes throughout, the kitchen renovation and the guest bathroom renovation after some minor adjustments to the bones of the space coordinated with the contractor on site during the construction.
The resulting home is both masculine and warm home, with the feeling of luxury without opulence. We are now waiting for the implementation of the Master Bathroom!
