Union Square This couple lived in a penthouse loft apartment located in the trendy Union Square area of lower Manhattan. When it became possible to purchase 1/3 of the apartment adjacent to theirs, they jumped at the opportunity to add a Home Office and Master Bedroom. The first of many design challenges was to create a flow between the original apartment and the addition without renovating the entire space. The Designer was able to maximize the space through an open-style floor that incorporated low walls and custom millwork to create spaces within spaces. Using a subtle warm, soft textured palette of grey-green millwork, a space that maximizes both sophistication and functionality for this young family was created. Gunnel |
