After an extensive search throughout the southern regions of France, from the Bordeaux region to Italy, my client found the perfect property. Perfect, however meant, a stone shell in the midst of a full conversation.
Some of the many challenges facing someone that purchases a property abroad include the language barriers, the cultural nuisances, and the measurement conversations.
Being aware of Lee's experience in France both personally as well as professionally, Bob requested some assistance with the overwhelming task of reviewing the design plans and making adjustments while they were being constructed.
Floor plan options and detail suggestions for the kitchen and bathrooms were relayed to the local architect and many solutions were integrated into the final design. Furniture plans, and color schemes were also developed to help the client with the massive task of filling up another large home.
Ultimately, Lee's main advice was that since this was a second home, the project did not need to have a strict deadline and could be something to be savored and enjoyed for many holidays to come! This approach was appreciated by the client who now is able to have fun with the project and cherish the prospect of searching the French southern countryside for the perfect pieces!
