Sarah K. Lippmann Sarah K. Lippmann is a native New Yorker, who grew up green, before the eco-bandwagon had caught on, thanks to her fantastic mom. From reducing the amount of flushes, to not buying excess products like paper towels, to loading up the car once a month with cans and bottles for drop off at the one recycling center in Manhattan, her mother made sure the urban homestead did its part. Sarah's interest in sustainability stems from her desire to participate in and challenge the urban landscape, encompassing a wide reach, ranging from urban agriculture and composting, to biomimicry and the merging of technology with nature. She practices yoga and meditation and has been a vegetarian for more the 15 years. She received her Master's of Science from The Pratt Institute, where she studied Interior Design with an emphasis in sustainability and green design. ![]() |
